Our History
Invizions, Inc. was founded in the spring of 2000 by Rodney J. Scott to address a growing need that most facilities didn't yet recognize: the ability to see equipment problems before they could be seen or felt. Rodney had spent years in the field as a certified infrared thermographer, watching facilities lose hundreds of thousands of dollars to unexpected failures that thermal imaging would have caught weeks or months earlier.
Incorporated in January 2006 in Norwalk, Ohio, Invizions grew from a regional Ohio operation into a nationally recognized predictive maintenance firm. Today, the company serves manufacturers, hospitals, data centers, utilities, commercial property owners, and government facilities across the continental United States.
When NFPA 70B was updated in 2023 from a recommended practice to a mandatory standard, Invizions was already positioned as an expert. Rodney and his team had been performing NFPA 70B-aligned inspections for years — the standard simply confirmed what proactive facility managers had already understood: thermal imaging and documented electrical maintenance programs are not optional.
Invizions is certified by and affiliated with the Infraspection Institute, the nation's leading credentialing body for infrared thermographers. Rodney Scott serves not just as a certified Level III thermographer, but as an Infraspection Institute instructor — teaching the next generation of thermographers the standards and techniques the industry requires through our certification class.

Certifications & Industry Affiliations
Infraspection Institute Level III Certification
The Infraspection Institute is the internationally recognized authority for infrared thermography certification. Level III represents the highest professional credential in the field. Rodney Scott holds Certification No. 4974.
Infraspection Institute Instructor
Beyond certification, Rodney serves as a certified Infraspection Institute instructor — qualified to train and certify new thermographers in Level I coursework. This is not a distinction many thermographers hold.
NFPA 70B Compliance Specialist
Invizions provides Electrical Maintenance Program (EMP) development, inspection, and documentation services that fully satisfy the requirements of the 2023 mandatory NFPA 70B standard.
Avetta & ISNetworld Verified
Invizions maintains contractor safety verification through Avetta, ISNetworld, and PICS Auditing — meeting the prequalification requirements of clients across energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and government.
Vibration Institute Affiliated
Vibration analysis services are performed by technicians affiliated with the Vibration Institute, the professional organization for vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
PICS Auditing Participant
PICS Auditing is a prequalification system used by petrochemical and industrial companies to screen contractors. Invizions' PICS participation demonstrates commitment to safety and compliance.

Level III Certified | Infraspection Instructor | Cert. No. 4974Rodney founded Invizions in 2000 after years of field experience in infrared thermography and predictive maintenance. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Ashland University and has been active in IR field work since 1995. Prior to Invizions, he developed thermography programs at USS/Kobe Steel and served as VP of Insight Technical Services. As an Infraspection Institute Level III Certified Thermographer and instructor, Rodney brings the deepest possible expertise to every inspection and training engagement.

His field leadership ensures that every inspection is executed to the highest professional standard.
